WatchMETAR

This is a temporary page to provide support for WatchMETAR app.

The content will be updated once the new versions of the apps are released.

WatchMETAR is an aviation weather app for Apple Watch, compatible with WatchOS 3+. It provides the following functionality:

• On the phone:

  • Add/edit favorite airports

  • Display a list of favorite airports and their current weather/flight rules

  • Display detailed METAR/TAF information in raw and decoded form

  • Configure watch complications

• On the watch

  • Display a complication for selected airport (or nearest one). The following complications are supported:

    • Utilitarian Large

    • Modular Large/Modular Graphic

    • Graphic Bezel

    • Graphic Corner

  • Display a list of favorites and their weather/flight rules

  • Search for an airport or show all nearest airports

  • Display detailed METAR/TAF information in easy-to-digest form

Upcoming version 3.0 will bring the following enhancements:

• Complete rewrite using the latest SwiftUI framework

• Complications migrated to WidgetKit, providing richer experience and supporting all complication types

• Support for multiple complications on the same watchface (with different airports)

• Support for SmartStack

• Widgets for iOS, iPadOS (including lockscreen widgets) and Apple Silicon-based Macs

• Works on Vision Pro (as an iPad app)

• Lookup page to quickly display weather just in search results

• TAF preview graphs

WatchMETAR is free and currently restricted to U.S. airports only.
